Courier companies charge an additional fee for COD order which is paid by the customer.

In some cases, customers deny the delivery of the package & company again charges an amount for RTO (Return to Origin) which we have to pay.

Eg: Customer orders “Pareeksha” novel from WhatsApp & wants Cash on Delivery. Since we offer FREE DELIVERY, we send the package via courier service (costing around Rs.120).  Due to some reason, if customer denies delivery of package. Then companies charge us for RTO. Total loss comes around Rs.200

 This whole process takes a toll on our time & resources.

There are couple ways one can pay online even if they don’t have Online Payment Facility.

Bank Transfer: Visiting any bank & making a cash payment to our bank account.

UPI: Doing online payment through your friends/relatives/neighbours/shopkeepers. One can give cash to their friends or family & they can transfer the amount to us.

Readers who are living far away from cities or in remote areas, they usually make payment via above methods.

Village addresses may take 5-6 days to deliver. Most courier companies can’t deliver to Village addresses. Those packages are sent via IndiaPost.

Books dispatch from New Delhi & it takes time as per distance.

Village location takes more time than cities. If order is not fulfilled by courier company, it is then sent via IndiaPost service. IndiaPost can deliver to any valid PIN CODE but I may take some time.

Other factors such as, Weekly delivery, Staff Shortage at company office, bulk orders, high supply with the company, bad weather, public holidays etc. can lead to delay in delivery.

If an order is returned. It is due to various reasons such as Non-Delivery Zone, Door Closed, Phone Switched-Off, Insufficient address etc. Sometimes it also happens from the courier company side. Usually, delivery is re-attempted couple times by the company & if it fails to deliver then it is returned to us.
